There’s a New Top Chef in Town
The next season of Top Chef, filmed this time in New York, is set to premier on November 12, and this time we’ll have a hometown girl to cheer for. Carla Hall from Washington, DC is chef & owner of Alchemy Caterers, and got her schooling at Bethesda’s L’Academie de Cuisine. More than just a wife and mother, her bio states that her food is at the “heart and soul of the South and the refinement of her classic French training.” Let’s hope that she fares better than previous caterers, who in the past haven’t demonstrated the chops for the fine dining challenges.
Baltimore is also represented this time around: Jill Snyder is the executive chef from Red Maple, whose tenure on the show will probably be helped by her resemblance to Anne Hathaway. Not to mention her “goal is to one day own a small resort that serves amazing food and features rides in her hot air balloon.”Can’t wait to see her pull this one off. She was also a sushi chef at one point so maybe we’ll see some Asian influence in the cooking challenges.
I hope that these ladies will represent. I wish them both the best of luck. Has anyone ever visited these restaurants?
