For the moms and dads out there that can’t ovoid the traffic on I-495 or the Baltimore/Washington Parkway in time to read a bedtime story to the kids, there is a wonderful website offering FREE online audio stories for kids at Storynory.com! Now, when I come home and I’m tired from a long hard day’s work, my daughter Destiney has her stories lined up for us to enjoy. We read and listen together, laugh out loud, and talk about what we’ve learned from each story. Now if I can only find something like this but in french. My daughter goes to a French Immersion elementary and its so hard to find resources for her. Hhhmmmm!
They’ve got tons of stories from classic fairy tales to original stories. They’ve been around since 2005 and have over 250,000 downloads a month from their server. So head on over and check them out. You can even download their favorite bedtime stories on your ipod or pc. One of my kids’ favorite stories is “Big Sister’s Clothers“. Its one of the best stories ever for those little sisters out there with an older sis’. Here’s one of my favorite stories that my children can’t get enough of.

Audio stories and the backseat dvd player makes driving long distances such a more peaceful experience. It also helps put my kids to sleep so they get a nap on the way to places, I love these things.
