Happy Hour Moms Night In with Ice Cream, Chocolate, and PINK

Mommy Needs Caffeine, Chocolate and Ice Cream

With all the gossip, rumors and discussions burning up my email about celebrity mom divorces (Kelis and Nas, Mel Gibson and his wife of 28 years… wow!), cheating spouses (did you read Jon and Kate Plus 8 article yet?) it made me want to hit the bottle.

With all that I do for my family on a day to day basis, I often wonder if anyone sees ‘me’. I, like so many other mommies, never seem to find the time to make time.  Time for ourselves, our husband and/or partner, and even our best gal pals. Sometimes I wonder,

I am the perfect wife? I am a good mom?

Well thank goodness for caffeine, liquor and chocolate. This dangerously addictive yet instantly satisfying combination, made me think about an intimate evening with my husband at T.G.I. Friday’s cause mommy needs her husband too.

So here’s to another week of …

Reflection, Love and New Beginnings. The bar is OPEN!

mudslide cocktail recipe Happy Hour Moms Night In with Ice Cream, Chocolate, and PINKFrozen Mudslide Martini

1/2oz Baileys
1/2oz Kahlua
1/2oz vodka (or without if you’re a virgin)
2 scoops vanilla ice cream (yum)
1 cup ice, crushed
1oz chocolate syrup

1.) Place the Baileys, Kahlua, vodka, cream, vanilla ice cream and crushed ice in a blender.
2.) Blend all the ingredients until the mixture is smooth.
3.) Drizzle 1oz of chocolate syrup around the inside of the martini glass
4.) Immediately pour the mixture from the blender into the glass to freeze the drizzled chocolate syrup on the sides of the glass.
5.) Enjoy!

Here’s another song selection from my girl Pink… love her!
