Happy Hour for Mother’s Day with Stevie Wonder

Submitted by thecocktailcafe on Friday, 8 May 20096 Comments

As I look back at  my life and think about how much I’ve been through in this journey called motherhood. Lessons untold by the women I admired and respected about how hard it would be but still, I celebrate.

Mother’s day is always a special day for me as my eldest daughter Destiney (7) always attempts to make breakfast consisting of “green eggs and vegetarian ham” with chocolate rice milk for breakfast.

Her dad will assist in this ritual of course but as always, he’ll blend up the spinach just like I like it (no artificial colors or additives in this house) and present it to me in bed with a kiss, knowing that with my son Matthew (2) and daughter Daniella (1) it will all be gone before I can open my mouth.

Tonight’s family night and so I think its only fitting to offer up a Mocktail recipe (virgin cocktail) along with a song that I often play when I want to relax. Another great song by Stevie Wonder to celebrate the first 100 Days of Barack Obama’s Presidency with Love & Music called “Change Is Now” cause “All About The Love Again“.

Love is on the Menu This Mother’s Day – Enjoy!

“Hello! I need your help!! I am working on a project and would LOVE your answer to this 1 question! It will take less than 2 minutes! What is the biggest problem or challenge you have as an entrepreneur?”

    Hello Susan,

I wish that you left me your email address so that I could keep in touch with you but speaking from a mother’s perspective, I think that is the biggest challenge. Often times, it becomes a balancing act of husband and/or partner, children, personal time and the much needed time to devote to your business.

It is vital to prepare a To-Do list and/or calendar for your business, personal and family life. This will determine the success and/or failure of any company/business. This life lesson is one for every aspect of our lives.

Lets always remember that we are women first, mothers, lovers, and friends then follow (you pick the order).

Please keep in touch and always remember to follow your passion and pursue your dreams!
