Happy Hour for Moms Night In at The Cocktail Cafe

Submitted by thecocktailcafe on Friday, 10 April 2009One Comment

Each week I invite you to join me as I share with you some of my favorite “me time” songs (with sing-a-long accompanied for those of you out there who NEVER seem to know the words), and a special cocktail cafe recipes for your mixing pleasure. So, when you need a cool song or martini recipe and just don’t have the time to make it to the bar for happy hour — my Moms Night In is just what a mommy needs to rest, relax and unwind.

So get put on your dressy dress, and your pumpy pumps ladies… the Bar is OPEN!

lemongrass martini recipe Happy Hour for Moms Night In at The Cocktail Cafe

Lemongrass Martini (OMG… Yummie)

5oz Vanilla Rum
1.5oz Lemongrass simple syrup (infused with ginger and lemongrass)
.5oz (or more if you like) Sour mixture

Shake rum, lemongrass simple syrup and sour mixture vigorously in a shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass, and garnish with a lime wedge on the rim, and serve. I had the pleasure of having this martini when I attended Fusion’s Happy Hour event last month at the Lemongrass bar and restaurant…. YUMMIE!
