Coolio’s Rules: On the Oxygen Channel
Rapper Coolio best known for his hit, “Gangsta’s Paradise” tapped into the reality TV genre via a new show on Oxygen called, “Coolio’s Rules.” Granted that this type of show has been seen before thanks to “The Osbournes”, “Run’s House”, “Hogan Knows Best”, “Being Bobby Brown”, and “Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood”, it’s always refreshing to see the connection between a father and his children. Oxygen has named him the “mother of all fathers” and I wasn’t quite sure why until I got to the very end of the show.
I thought about not posting this article but aside from the bad language, ghetto grammar, and his unconventional way of disciplining the kids, Coolio tries his best to deal with the issues that we all face as parents. Wanting them to have the best, keeping them safe from harm, and sacrificing so that they can have something to call their own is what every parent hopes for.
His kids are Artisha and Brandi (both 20), Artis (18), and Jackie (15). Who knew that Coolio has a side gig as a cook? The series premiered on Tuesday night at 10 PM (EST). Did you watch the show?
