Hell apparently hath no fury like a Motrin mom scorned. The inaugural celebration of International Baby Wearing Weekt Controversial Motrin TV Commercial Angers Moms Everywhere! also served as a platform for the Motrint Controversial Motrin TV Commercial Angers Moms Everywhere! brand’s launch of their new ads (below) targeting what else, “baby wearing moms.” Touting the tagline “we feel your pain,” the Motrin IB ad in particular takes a snarky approach towards moms who carry babies in a pouch or sling. Watch the infamous, offensive ad from Motrin, just in case they pull it from their site!

WARNING ~ this video will “PISS U OFF“:

This “Motrin Moms” TV Commercial is making some serious waves with mothers everywhere.  But on the surface at least, the company accomplished the ultimate in outreach goals:

1. Reach target audience
2. Get them to engage in dialogue about your brand
3. Find way to track message and outreach

The Wrong Move

Sounds great, right? Wrong. While the ads are the number one discussion trend on Twittert Controversial Motrin TV Commercial Angers Moms Everywhere!, my overall grade? A great big “Fail Whale”.  What were they thinking when they made this ad?  Wow!

An avid Twitter user and mom, Jessica Gottliebt Controversial Motrin TV Commercial Angers Moms Everywhere! is the originator of the conversation via her Twitter networkt Controversial Motrin TV Commercial Angers Moms Everywhere!. The dialogue (and overwhelming outrage) is growing exponentially. Already there are thousands of comments on #motrinmomst Controversial Motrin TV Commercial Angers Moms Everywhere! and almost all are negative with many saying they will no longer use the brand name product.

So here is my opinion concering this matter. Baby carriers CAN BE bad for your back IF you don’t have the right one.  Its like anything in life that we buy, try and wear.  I don’t think that fashion was the first thought that came into mymind when I thought about carrying my infant around and what I want to know is “who the hell made this ad”?  Was it a woman or even a mother?

Oh Motrin….Bad Bad Idea. On so many different levels…. and makes moms look like idiots who will do anything in order to be percieved as a “good” mother. Very sad add campaign.

    Jennifer,

Let me just say that although this website highlights fashionable wears for moms, its so much more than that. It represents and celebrates that part of all mothers that often gets overlooked.

We are “women” first and always. Now I like my garments and gadgets but I am so offended by this commercial… pissed off actually.

I have been communicated with so many other moms but I will not be a supporter of this brand until either there is a formal apology OR I get a headache… Just kidding:)
