It’s Official Mommies! The kickoff to the 2009 Susan G. Komen Race for The Cure in DC starts with NewsBabes Bash for Breast Cancer! The DC media divas and bloggers (Pink Blog Ambassadors, including yours truly, Mommy Cocktail Officer Rhea Brown) come together to bring you a DC nightlife experience of breast cancer awareness, door prizes, and VIP sponsors that has my tipsy with excitement and sizzling with anticipation! Save the date for Wednesday, May 13th, and join us at Michael Romeo Group’s Lotus Lounge. The race for the cure continues and together WE can make an impact! Race for the Cure is June 6, 2009.

Admission: $35 race registration or suggested donation

Recognizing there were few resources for moms that address "their" needs, Rhea took her interest in fashion, family and writing to create an online community of sassy, stylish moms looking to find balance, happiness, and little fun along the way. Cocktail moms everywhere log onto The Cocktail Cafe for its fresh and unique take on parenting, fashion for moms, news and reviews of the hottest boutiques and mom bloggers.

Creating this site came out of her own personal experience, struggles and victories as a stay-at-home mom with three little ones. I love giving my unsolicited opinions and finding resources for the entire family. My mission has been to help every mom "celebrate the woman behind marriage, motherhood, and business".
