Jennifer Lopez Sues Stroller Company Over Image
My hot, fiery Latina Cocktail Mommy Jennifer Lopez (aka “J-Lo”) and hubby Marc Anthony are suing British stroller company Silver Cross for $5 million for allegedly using the couple’s image to promote their range, according to reports.
J-Lo filed for trademark infringement lawsuit in a Los Angeles district court on Wednesday (Feb. 25), claiming that Silver Cross used a photo of them with their one year old twins, Max and Emme, in their strollers without prior permission.
Ooooohh.. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
The suit accuses the British manufacturer of using the photograph of the famous family online and in advertisements, thereby deceiving the public into “believing that Lopez and Anthony endorse and sponsor” the brand.
J-Lo and Marc Anthony are seeking at least $5 million in damages, a permanent injunction against any further use of their names or images in the company’s advertising, and any money that may have been made by allegedly using these images.

Wow! But what damages did they have that requires 5 million dollars? I don’t understand why companies are using people w/o their permission. It’s like the Obama dolls.

Immediately the Obama dolls came to mind. I don’t know if they deserve $5 million dollars but I do think companies should be more responsible when using images of other peoples children. Their parents chose a life of stardom, the kids did not. They should be more respectful of that.
Yes, this is a great story, and it will be interesting to see how it pans out. I can’t imagine that Silver Cross will want this to go through the court system, but then again $5 million is a lot of money…will they settle out of court or won’t they?
