For all my Noisettes Fans, Here’s the iTunes Festival 2009
Its my alter ego, rock band character come to life. Meet singer, entertainer and divalicious rock chic (watch out Gwen) Shingai Shoniwa of the Noisettes. Because I am loyal to a fault, I had to become a fan of the Noisettes on Facebook where I found the iTunes 2009 London Festival featuring The Noisettes.
Now onto a little bit about my favorite 2009 indie band and style icon chocolate diva for those of you that were wondering…
Who are the Noisettes?
1.) The band is formed in 2003 and is from London.
2.) Comprise of singer and bassist Shingai Shoniwa, guitarist Dan Smith, and drummer Jamie Morrison.
3.) Became a household name in London after the hit “Don’t Upset the Rhythm” in 2009 off their second album “Young Wild Hearts” BUT my altime favorite song so far is “Never Forget You” (click the link to see the video and my post).
4.)They all attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology in Croydon
4.) Shingai Elizabeth Maria Shoniwa was born in 1981 – both English and Zimbabwean decent.
5.) Her full name and “Shingai” means “persevere’ in the Zimbabwean Shona language.
6.) She knows how to “Willie Bounce” people. Unless you are into Dancehall music, this term will confuse you.
7.) She studied circus skills at a London youth club as a teenager (know wonder she’s so theatrical at her live shows right?)
