Nice post on the shoes. If I actually put those on it would be hilarious, but I love looking at them!
I’m feeling 1,3,4,7, maybe 8. Good post
feeling is mutual on that one Da Vinci but I’ve got a sexy little cocktail dress that would go great with number 4.
Wait who, are we kidding. I like them ALL.
And it is a first! My favorite pair is also the least expensive.
When it comes to shoes. It is good to be a man.
ok, I love shoes, shoes and more shoes…but with all the economic crisis going on you have the nerve to post such expensive shoes. Shouldnt you be recommending the least expensive fashion finds. Well it’s your world if you have 200 bucks to throw away on a pair of shoes, their are hungry and homeless people (who recently became homeless because of all the lay offs) that could really use the money your walking all over. Please dont post about the oh it’s ok to treat yourself, crap. One of my girlfriend just recently got laid of and she has three kids, I am pretty sure she would give anything for $200 bucks right now before she goes shopping. Yes I know it’s not your problem but at least you dont need to tease people with shoes that they shouldnt even think about buying now. You should check out this link showing a video with A lists stars who wear H&M and Old Navy out fits. Now they are setting and example for our crumbled economy.
Wow, well she did say it’s for the faint of heart. Everyone is going through it financially, but there is nothing wrong with staying on top of fashion…and when I say that I mean LOOKING.
Nobody is forcing anyone to live above their means, if people can afford to pay for them then good for them rich people work hard for their money too…and no I’m not rich, YET, lol
I am truly sorry to hear about your friend and sorry for the current economic despair but you have no right to come into anyone’s site and spew such irrelevant negativity.
Hopefully nobody was offended by my response, but people always have to take things out of context and sometimes too far.
Those shoes have one purpose and one purpose only. This isn’t an X rated site so I can’t tell you the purpose.
True we are in an economic crisis. I can’t buy $200 pair of shoes but truth be told I wouldn’t either way. I have my eyes on other things. But why Rain on someone else’s parade. If they want to buy a pair of nice shoes with THEIR money. Then so be it! Shop!
Da Vinci, my post is not negative, but I am expressing my honest opinion that she could also post some least expensive shoes that still looks sexy. Is it only the expensive shoes that are sexy? I think not. Yes the rich people work hard but not that hard because they have secretary and other people under them to do the hard labor for next to nothing pay while they get rich.
Ok for those of you who are reading comprehensioned challenged. I repeat, no where and I mean no where in my post does it say not to shop for expensive shoes, I ask her to recommend least expensive shoes because of the economic crisis. Even the wealthy are shopping on a budget because their wealth is not promised to them, tomorrow. The rich man can go broke overnight just like that. Look at Bob Barker who has been hosting the Price is right for years and then all of a sudden when the pay check stop his house was in trouble.
First of all,
I would like to say “Thank you” for taking the time out “Sexy Girl” to read and comment.
Now clearly you haven’t taken the time to read anything else on this website because it is truly so much more. But let me just say further that there is a time and place for everything.
Please take a look at: http://www.thecocktailcafe.com/category/mom-knows-style/ for fashion finds, the look for less, etc.
There is so much more to me (http://www.thecocktailcafe.com/about/) than fashion, clothes, shoes, and such. I too have 3 children who I love, a husband who I honor, and friends (both online and offline) that matter and are too affected by the recent economic environment (myself included). Sounds like you need A Minute To Yourself (please click on this link to see what I mean)
With that said, DON’T come here and post like this unless you have something positive to say. We are a HAPPY COMMUNITY here of fashion, stylish, trendy, businesses minded moms, dads, and women in general.
And I take personal offense to your statement but hey, if you need a friend to chat with, I’m here. I’ve been there too.
Cheers,
Rhea Brown
Chief Cocktail Officer
Da Vinci, if you havent heard a what the chief officer said, that her site is to bitch, praise and whatever the other mumbo jumbo stuff she says that a mother can do. A woman can still look fly and sexy without spending over $200. If you werent blessed with sex appeal, good looks, and a banging personality, no amount of expensive clothes can make you over. I thank God and my mama for blessing me with those things and many more because even in some beat up sweat pants and a t-shirt men r still trying to holler simply because it’s in the face and the assets.
ok sexy,
It’s ok if you can not afford the shoes but be nice, and not post negative stuff on this site. It’s a site to up lift moms and other blog readers.

I hug you and I love you. Now Stop the madness… k?
Rhea,
lol, you make poor sexy sound like she is psycho and she needs a friend shoulder to cry on, when you made the comment about her needing a friend to chat she can contact you. This is too funny, relax, relate and breathe…life is about fun and not dis ya crazy mess.
You are braaaave girlfriend. Since having kids, I just can’t wear heels very often. I wear Converse, ballet flats and have maybe 6 pairs of heels that only come out for very select occasions and stay in the boxes 99% of the time…
Jessica, you can do it too. Once you start doing it once or twice a week eventually you get back into the grove of things. Wear those heal and unleash the sexy in you. Beside they make good bedroom play for the hubby wink* wink*.
Oh yeah nicky,
now we’re talking honey. I used to be like that and don’t get me wrong now. There are some really cute, payless, target and department store shoes.
But every now and then (and Im still working on it), I get a little sexy with it.
Every now and then (check out the boots from my 30th Birthday party), a pair of heels, and if Im lucky, night out with my hubby/friends just makes this cocktail mom feel good.
love the convos ladies and as I always say:
“make time 4 U, and have a cocktail on me”
Cheers
Wow, the party has started in my honor. Even the Chief Officer showed up. Thank you all for coming but my opinion is my opinion, a blog site is created for just that. I might not say what you want to hear but I am allowed to express myself, so if you take offense to what I say, tough cookie. This world is not made with people that are going to swaddle your ego just to keep the community happy.
Thanks for the links I have checked out your finds for less too, I loved the items. I am not attacking your eye for trendy stuff or your taste for fashion, just giving my honest opinon. Why do you sound like a hippy tree hugging person. Why do you want to hug me. To the rest of you including nicky I am not a psycho and I dont need a shoulder to cry on. With all that said peace out.
Wow,
you ladies are all funny. But i must say that as a guy, husband and follower, this is my first time blogging and I personally like how the site is written.
And love my wife but she’s hot (must not have seen her pics “Sexy Girl”… where’s yours).
Keep writing, and I hope you do a post for dads/guys next. We need help too.
that’s my girl “Sexy”. And no, I’m not a hippy but I am happy. 2 be me of course. And hope u r 2.
so glad you liked the other posts but don’t feel too special, I usually respond to most of my articles and appreciate my audience, their time and their comments (even yours).
and its “Chief Cocktail Officer”
[...] that I am calm and after much love and hateful/hurtful rude comments from my earlier post titled “Foot Fetish: Get Pumped up for the Holidays“, I decided to [...]
Rhea, as I’ve stated before, I love visitng your blog. Keep up the good work. When you are doing positive things, you attractive positive people!
Regarding the shoes, my vote goes to pair #1 in black or brown…HOT! :>).
Well….this post seems to be yesterday’s hot topic. I absolutely had to chime in here. I will address you directly Sexy by saying that your initial post set the tone for how people have responded. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but no, you don’t get the right to be “funky” , “bold” and basically “out of place.”
This site is dedicated to all women, mothers, sisters…etc… No matter what their financial background is, we are here to celebrate ourselves. As women and Mothers we oftentimes feel entitled to “splurge” to honor and celebrate the beautiful and dynamic women that we are.
I found that you started in this forum on the wrong foot, and maybe you should try on another “pair of shoes’ and walk in again, stepping in on a new beat with a more positive and less offensive tone.
I will address the first sentence FYI, this is what “set me off” : ” ok, I love shoes, shoes and more shoes…but with all the economic crisis going on you have the nerve to post such expensive shoes.”
“chose”, by their own free will, and tell someone about the “nerve” they have to do anything. Despite the economic crisis, people still have to live life to the fullest. We know how to be aware of the world around us, but that does not mean we all have to now shop at Payless for our shoes.
Psychologically speaking, in times of despair and depression, one must find “normalcy” in their circumstances. Drastically changing the way that one live can cause shock and trauma. It does not mean don’t budget. But, it also does not mean to abandon all things that bring you joy either.
Buying a nice pair of shoes, regardless of price, has been know to lift the spirits of many women across the globe. So in conclusion ladies, I wil say “Live your life to the fullest.” If your bills are paid and your children are fed, buy whatever damn pair of shoes you want and LOVE IT!!!
…and to you Sexy “KICK ROCKS!!!” in whatever shoes you have the “nerve” to wear.
Sincerely,
Im loving my life, you should too!!
Hey Rhea,
You are the bomb. Keep doing what your doing. We will read it.
They will come. I’ll take #8. By the way when I used to go clubbing, my friends and I would call heels “Come $%*# me pumps” The ones that were over 4 inches. Those days are long gone. Now I have a bunyon on my right foot. So “no pumps for me”. Which I loved wearing. It made my legs look sexy.
Keepem’ coming Rhea!!
I love your articles.
Danie
People need to really sit back, take a breather and think before they post such nastiness. Its a BLOG ladies, if you do not agree just move along. There are enough blogs out there for everyone to find one they completely relate to.
Does the Economy suck?!? ABSOLUTELY. Should Prada and Monolo go out of business?!? NO WAY! Even if you can’t do the splurging… A woman needs to dream!
“They may say Im a dreamer…. but Im not the only one” lol
Rhea, I love your blog and your finds! Keep em coming!
O yea, and also– Ill take #2, with a side of #7.. thanks
