Fashion 4 the Plus Size Mom: Thick Misses if you’re Nasty!

After receiving 37 email messages from women who loved those hot, sexy, knee-high boots on Raven, the question that poked at me from “sweetplusmom” was,
“Where can a girl get affordable, cute, fashionable clothes when U R a plus size mom?”
Well “sweetplusmom”, even though the current climate can be best describe as a retail recession Plus size moms still need cute, affordable, trendy, chic clothes that matches their sense of style. One of my favorite stores (esp. when I was pregnant with my Matthew) Old Navy’s Plus (sizes 16-30). Sadly, their plus-size shops are all closed. Now that they are exclusively online.
For the plus sized mom, this is an underserved sector and although I think there is significant growth in this market rest assured I want you guys to know that about one-third of U.S. women are considered plus size. So, I went on the hunt for some really cool shops, and boutiques that I felt (besides Old Navy) had the cutest fashions for my cocktail mommies.
Gone are the days when plus size fashions resembled MuuMuus as more women begin to lovingly accept their bodies and follow the same modern looks of women and petite styles. So here’s my roundup of this season’s best fashion finds for you guys. Yeah Me!
Old Navy Plus Shop – This link leads you to their pants section (jeans in particular). Comfortable, affordable, durable, and chic. If this store isn’t on your list… Shame on U!
Plus Size Formal Dresses – Ladies, definitely check out this wonderful Online Boutique.
aLight.com – really great experience so far and I love the fact that you can search by size, price and the hottest trends around. You can even look for the perfect party outfits… cool!
Nordstrom’s Plus Size Shop – Flattering fashions from the brands that we love, perfectly proportioned for a beautiful fit, I love this season’s holiday cocktail dresses. Oh god man, so many cocktail dresses, so little places to go!

OneStopPlus.com – A wonderful boutique with some of the cutest shoes for the plus size woman.
Also check out plussizefinds.com and Occasion Dresses for lots of commentary on plus size fashions. Hey, if you know of any other sites, boutiques, products and services for the plus size mommies, by all means, comment and let me know. I’ll be happy to check them out. Be sure to check out the.

I think Catherines/LaneBryant/FashionBug are all good online shops for plus size moms too. LB also has clothing for expectant moms.
NO WAY?
I didn’t know that Lane Bryant had clothes for expectant moms. I am working on an article dedicated to moms to be and this is some wonderful information.
Thanks Moe
