Wendy Williams becomes a Wild Young Heart with the Noisettes
Oh how I’ve missed writing you guys at The Cocktail Cafe but I’ve been SO busy and currently working on a few wonderful surprises for you (keep checking in and supporting the site).
So, lately I’ve been becoming a television whore with all the wonderful, crazy and rivating new shows on cable. My all time favorite shows are True Blood (brings out my inner freak and I swear, its made me question my beliefs on a whole lot of things… hhhhmmmm), Weeds (need I say more???? – sex, lies, drugs, and of course a HOT mom), Housewives of Atlanta 2 (their back and if you haven’t already listened to my personal interviews with each Atlanta Housewife then click here to meet NeNe, Kandi and Lisa), and of course, The Wendy Williams Show.
Now what can I say about Mrs. Wendy Williams other than its like watching your favorite celebrity gossip blog writer on TV. Being a NYC native, I am oh too familiar with her and that infamous radio show. The gossip, the dirty laundry that people would call in and dish to Wendy as crazy. And who can forget her Red Carpet appearances making the celebrities tremble at the thought of answering some outrageous question… “how U doing?”
But, today’s post is really about the awesome, fabulous indie band from London named The Noisettes. I was put onto this group since December of 2008 when I friend sent me a You Tube video called Don’t Give Up. I was a fan from that point on and so when Wendy had then on her show yesterday I was SO happy that she introduced them to her viewers. Their new single “Never Forget You” is SO ADDICTIVE that it took me 24 hours to memorize the words and annoy the hell outa my husband Damion (for those that don’t know by now).
Check out the original video and tell me that singer and bassist Shingai Shoniwa her beauty along with that throw back voice doesn’t make you all warm and fuzzy inside. Everything from her style, model figure, and that amazing hairstyle has me thinking “Its about damn time that we bring back good music”. How about You?
Be sure to grab the album on September 22nd called “Young Wild Hearts”!

So good to see you back and writing. My husband has put me on to True Blood so I’m a fan just like you. Thank goodness for DVR or else I will never catch it. I’m not to into the Wendy Williams show as I’m not home from work as yet, plus I really wasn’t too into her radio show. And she’s on the same time as Oprah. What is that all about?
Hey Felicia!
Ok, so I’m so happy that you are a fan of True Blood honey. I can’t wait till Sunday. I mean, could watch in on Cable On Demand ahead of time but I love the suspense of waiting till that night… ooooh.
So, here in Maryland, Wendy William’s Show actually comes on at 12 noon on Fox, 5pm on UPN 20 and on BET at 11pm (or 10pm).
Its like watching a black celebrity blogger chat on TV. She’s hilarious honey.
Hope you like my The Noisettes honey. They ROCK!
I read a few topics. I respect your work and added blog to favorites.
Thanks for this wonderful tribute. I’m a huge fan of Noisettes and as you said, it’s about time we brought back good music. I’m definitely getting a copy of Wild Young Hearts come September 22nd.
Love the song it reminds of TV sitcoms like Lavern and Shirley. Love, love, love True Blood and Wendy Williams. I listen to her radio show all the time plus watch her talk show, her realness speaks volume. The Housewives of Atlanta, well love the show but Sheree and Nene I think are acting too way over the top this season and Kandi is an emotional wreck, she has cried in just about every episode since the show started. Still love Lisa for being Lisa, because I can always appreciate a business savvy individual that has killer drive to succeed. Kim and Sheree are both liars if you ask me, the friendship between them all is sour and with all the drama I don’t think they can repair it with out doubting each others loyalty.
It’s great to see you back here. The Noisettes are one of my favourite
bands too and show an awesome performance too.
Thank you so much Ingve for visiting me at The Cocktail Cafe. I’ve been so busy expecting a new baby that I’ve been all over the place. Yes, I love the Noisettes and hope to see much success for them soon.
If there is anything that you would like to see or read about, do not hesitate to give me shout here.
Cheers.
