Ellen DeGeneres stopped by The Cocktail Cafe Show

The Cocktail Moms Squad got together for the Moms Night Out Inauguration After Party.
We put the kids to bed, poured a glass of wine (or hot chocolate if you’re defrosting from the DC weather), and moms hit the live chat room with much discussion about:
Aretha Franklin’s CRAZY ASS hat vs. Ellen DeGeneres (Watch the video below) The $179 hat church lady hat, was customized with Swarovski crystals, and made by Mr. Luke Song Millinery.
Michelle Obama’s Inaugural gown (designed by Jason Wu) – hit or miss? We wondered if Michelle and President Obama had sex after the event… juicy. Sasha and Malia Obama’s Campaign of Cuteness as they ROCKED J-Crew coats
Jessica’s blog A Parent in Silver Spring offered Inaugural day events and discounts for the family in Silver Spring MD like Cake Love – I had to school Rene on Warren Brown.
And because I was there for the We Are One Concert at the National Mall in Washington DC, I witnessed Openly Gay Priest Gene Robinson perform the opening ceremony. So why did HBO “purposely” leave him out of the HBO coverage that aired on Sunday night January 18? Didn’t sound like unity to me! (OOOoooohhhh, now you know that was wrong HBO right?) Most imprtantly, history was made yesterday. We laughed, gossiped, shared and did what hot, sexy, smart moms do… HAVE FUN!
For those of you that missed the show, no worries…. you can listen here!!
Be sure to Fav us (the Heart button below), RSS us, and look out for the Podcast… Even Ellen DeGeneres thought Aretha’s Inauguration hat was worth laughing at:

That hat was a distraction for a few minutes but once she got going I forgot about it.
You are too funny. All I could think of was Minni Mouse and how much my mom (not a fashion Diva at any level) would love that hat. She would probably wear it backwards.
You’ve got to admire anyone who’s willing to take a few chances with fashion. I didn’t love the hat, but I like that she probably knew she would get some media grief for it but she wore it anyway. I say go for it Aretha. Let’s all give her a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. blog.newsok.com/fashionmatters
That’s Aretha for you, distracting clothing…I was so glad it was not warm. I know she would have had on a spagethi strap outfit with the strings screeming for help to hold her boobies up. The event on a whole was wonderful, breath taking and heart warming. Her signing was great so it distracted me from the hat.
I felt that Michelle look great in all her outfits, she has the body for it. The colors look great on her, I wish the world would give her a break.
LMAO,
I though that “the queen” sang beautifully but I was mezmorized by that hat, I’m sorry.
EVERY Granny and church lady mad hatter drooled over this hat but it was a Fashion Miss for me. R.E.S.P.E.C.T. OH no she didn’t… too funny.
Hated It!
And Michelle Obama, YES, she looked great! I just thought the hair would have made her Inaugural gown fierce.

Not Necessary at alll…

Tweet with you later : )
I thought the hat was AWESOME!!! Aretha.. the ultimate diva.. what did we expect!!
Definitely something you’d see her wear so I wasn’t too surprised. But like Nicky said at least her boobies weren’t hanging out!
