Reading Rainbow: Top 10 Books for Mothers Day
In these hard times of recession and reduced spending, show your mom that you care by gifting her something from the heart.
This year, I plan on creating custom gift baskets filled with things that celebrate the women in my life that inspire (and often annoy) and motivate me. I mean where would we be without our crazy, bossy, funny, intelligent, noisy, mothers right?
What about the girlfriend that’s pregnant and you don’t quite know what to get her? How about something special like maternity lounge wear from the Gap, a spa gift certificate, tickets to her favorite show, and a great book to read over tea or in the bubble bath.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Martha Mom, Hipster Mom, Fashionista Mom, Stay at Home Mom, Pregnant Mom, or Health Nut Mom. As Mother’s Day approaches, be sure to check out The Cocktail Cafe’s Top 10 Books for Mother’s Day:
Be sure to join me on Wednesday night for the official Pre-Mother’s Day Moms Night Out party at The Cocktail Cafe Radio Show with special guest author Jenna McCarthy, author of The Parent Trip (check out the book listed in the slideshow above).

The Cocktail Cafe provides a mix of mom talk with a splash of style. Recognizing there were few resources for moms that address "their" needs, Rhea took her interest in fashion, family and writing to create an online community of sassy, stylish moms looking to find balance, happiness, and little fun along the way. Cocktail moms everywhere log onto The Cocktail Cafe for its fresh and unique take on parenting, fashion for moms, news and reviews of the hottest boutiques and mom bloggers.
Creating this site came out of her own personal experience, struggles and victories as a stay-at-home mom with three little ones. I love giving my unsolicited opinions and finding resources for the entire family. My mission has been to help every mom "celebrate the woman behind marriage, motherhood, and business".
